Keeping an eye on it, the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra is going to launch a housing scheme on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. the CIDCO New Housing Scheme will be launched on August 27, 2024, with a total of 902 flats. Out of 902 flats, there will be 38 tenements for the economically weaker section and 175 for the general category in the developed area of Kalamboli, Kharghar, and Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai will be included in this scheme.
The remaining 689 tenements are located within the CIDCO’s Swapnapurti and Vastu Vihar Celebrations at Kharghar. These housing estates have connectivity through rail, road, and metro.
What is the CIDCO Lottery?
CIDCO or City and Industrial Development Corporation was established on March 17, 1970, and is controlled by the Government of Maharashtra. However, the State Government and Central Government of India have introduced various affordable housing schemes and the CIDCO Lottery Scheme is one of them, which was launched by the Government of Maharashtra. The scheme aims to construct about 1.10 Lakh agreements in selected regions of Navi Mumbai. Under the CIDCO Lottery scheme, 41,000 to 53,000 houses will be offered to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower-income group (LIG).
The purpose of the scheme is to provide well-planned, sustainable, and environmentally friendly properties for both residential and commercial purposes. The target of these agreements is such that, the houses will be built within 2 km of required services, such as railway networks and bus stations.

Eligibility Criteria
To receive the benefit under this scheme, you should fulfil the following eligibility criteria which are as follows:
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra State.
- The age of the applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- The income criteria vary for different categories:
- For EWS: Annual income should be less than Rs. 3,00,000.
- For LIG: Annual income should be between Rs. 3,00,001 and Rs. 6,00,000.
- For MIG: Annual income should be between Rs. 6,00,001 and Rs. 12,00,000.
- The applicant or any member of their family should not own a house under any other housing scheme in Maharashtra.
