Under this program, the youth of the state will get the chance to collaborate with government on tourism strategy, management, implementation and monitoring. Under the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program the selected researcher will be provided Rs. 30,000 as remuneration and Rs. 10,000 will be paid only for field visit per month. A tablet will also be provided to the researcher, however accommodation will be arranged by the researcher themself.
Through this program, the selected candidates will be provided training in overall development of the state’s tourism, culture, and ecology the coexisting assessment of the schemes implemented by the Central / State Government, and for preparing the outline of the fairs and festivals of the state.
What is Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship 2024
Under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Sri Yogi Adityanath, the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to launch the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Program 2024. The aim of the program is to provide the chance to the youth of the state to work on tourism policy, management, implementation and monitoring in collaboration with government. The plan is to select the researchers so that the competent and passionate researchers can participate in the state’s tourist development initiatives.
This program will select the researchers, working in related subjects such as tourism, culture, history, and the surrounding atmosphere. The selected researchers will work under the supervision of the District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner and Tourism Department official.

Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh has released the cmtfp.uptourismportal.in Portal under which the youth of the state can travel across India and learn about tourism. The eligible candidates can apply through the portal and get themselves registered under the portal. Affiliation period under the program will be valid for one year from the date of joining. Affiliation period can be extended for further one year on the basis of excellent work done in the tourism sector. Under this program, a certificate will be provided by the department for the work done successfully by the researcher within the prescribed period.

Eligibility Criteria
To avail the benefits under this program, candidates should fulfill these eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh State.
- Graduation with minimum 60 percent marks from leading recognized institutions/universities or higher educational qualification is required.
- Relevant work experience in any of the fields listed in the application form and B.B.A./B.A./M.A./M.Phil/Ph.D. Tourism and Travel Management, M.B.A.- Hospitality Tourism and Travel, P.G. Diploma Travel and Tourism, Hospitality- Preference will be given to degree/diploma in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Tourism and Archaeology.
- Applicants should have knowledge of MS-Word/ MS-Excel/ MS-Power Point/ Windows.
- Proficiency in both English and Hindi (written in Devanagari script) language is required.
- The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 40 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
