KALIA Yojana Revised as CM Kisan Odisha
The Government has taken the initiative to replace the existing KALIA Yojana (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) with an aspiring CM Kisan Yojana. Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has implemented the CM Kisan Scheme across the state. Farmers are advised to register under the CM Kisan Portal to get the financial assistance under the scheme. Under this updated scheme, nearly 46 lakh small and marginal farmers, including landless agricultural households, will receive Rs. 4,000 annually in two installments.
These installments are released on the auspicious days of Nuakhai and Akshay Tritiya. In addition to the state government’s assistance, farmers will also receive Rs. 6,000 annually from the central government’s PM-KISAN scheme, which is disbursed in three installments. This means that farmers will now receive a total of Rs. 10,000 per year directly into their bank accounts.
